All of us are guilty of trying to save things that we have invested into. Whether it was money, time or other resources, we all feel that we have to finish something out and hope to get something in return. This drive of completion is what makes people get scammed or tricked into things all of the time, it is what causes gambling addictions, and it is what causes crypto chains to disappear.
Last month I had written about Chainers.io. This website introduced their own crypto called $FRI and then made a build-up about it having AR capabilities, games and more, even with an avatar as an NFT. The site pushed cosmetics knowing that multiplayer games now make millions off of cosmetics purchases and microtransactions. I had written that at that time, the site had a huge update and they removed the ability for this $FRI to be used for anything but the purchase of cosmetic items for your avatar. They have now updated the website with a new feature that uses your hard-earned or hard-bought $FRI.

This new game has worse odds than any other "Provably Fair" game and is just there to take your $FRI. It is your typical roll game. The animation shows your character walking down a hill, a snowball flies at them from behind and you start rolling down a hill, picking up gifts along the way. You bet, with a minimum of 10 $FRI the spot at which the ball breaks free of your Chainer(Avatar). You go, "Shut up, this is easy, it is a 20% chance that you will win, right?"
Here is the quick issue, that makes this a scam: while playing and picking a section for distance, say for example; 75m, my character would roll down and crash at 34m or 89m. Neither of those are choices! Even worse is that if I pick 75m and the character's snowball crashes and releases him at 74m, even though it is within that green area, it will come up on the screen with a "Oops, try again" message.
Its like if I told you that for $1, you could pick a 10 number block out of 100 and if I roll a percentile die and it lands in that block, you win. You give me a dollar, you pick the number 24 and then I roll a 25. Even though both numbers are in the same block of integers, I say "sorry, you picked 24 and it was 25, you are wrong," and take your money.
For research purposes, I used up about 200 $FRI, in attempts to get at least a win where I win back more than what I had bet. I didn't get a single one. So I did find a use for the $FRI after-all: you are supposed to lose it back to the site.
The other game, the farming simulator has a new look, for winter and Christmas, but that is all.

One of the other things that annoys me with sites like this one, is that it tells you how much you have earned so far on the website, but doesn't allow you to spend anything if it is less than the withdraw amount. In the farm simulator, if I wanted to buy a new packed of seeds, to get at the minimum, a guaranteed seed packet and growing plot, it will cost about 2.5 POL. On the site, I currently have 4.3 POL. So a reasonable person would say "In the game, it shows me with 4.3 POL, I could buy this packet with my balance".
That isn't how the site works now. It used to allow me to do this, before the larger update a few months ago. Now, it doesn't. Now, it wants me to DEPOSIT new POL.
The thing with any website and crypto, is that I am very concerned about having to deposit anything. Any website at any time had no obligation to give you back anything you deposit and for that reason, I started this blog, showing people how they could get crypto for free and at no cost to them, even crypto. My advice for Chainers.io, is that if you have nothing better to do and you are stubborn like me and you think that maybe after a few months of grinding at it, you might get the 10 POL needed to withdraw and collect it, then go for it.
If you don't want to waste your time, then skip.
