This week's Splinterlands Challenge of the Week was to showcase the Dhampir Stalker from the Death Splinter...

While heavy on the mana and low on speed this is a high damage card that can't miss with reasonable health, and so in higher mana battles can be very useful!
The battle below features a Level 1 Dhampir Stalker playing a major role in a victory....
The Rule Set and Line Up
- Mana cap 18
- Standard Rules apply (Bronze League!)

Summoner - Thaddius
- Crypt Beatle - a decent low mana tank with shield
- Shadowy Presence - a lot of soak health for just one mana
- Corpse Fiend - 0 mana coming in handy for these low mana battles!
- Life Sapper - love that life leach!
- Dhampir Stalker - a risky high mana main damage card.
Did my strategy work?
Beautifully, to see it in action click here!
- Round 1 - a good start - I take out my opponent's Chaos Agent and Carrion Shade for no losses my end!
- Round 2 - I lose my Crypt Beatle and Dhampir proves his worth taking out half of the Windeku's health in one shot!
- Round 3 - I lose my Shadowy Presence but then the Dhapmir finishes off the Windeku, nice!
- Round 4 - it's all over, the Dhampir fittingly has the last say on the necrosi!
Happy days!
How important was The Stalker?
Absolutely crucial - he was the main damage dealer throughout.
I thought I'd taken a risk playing such a high mana card but as it turns out he did well in conjunction with my other cards which also all did their part.
Shield worked well against thorns and life leach turned out to be useful against snipe!
But overall I think it was the 3 damage from the Stalker that won the day!
Final Thoughts: Dhampir Stalker - worth buying?
For the money, most certainly, currently at only $0.09 a card you can max this bad boy out for only a few dollars and you get a huge bang for your buck at max level.

With 5 ranged damage and double damage when there is only one monster left on the opposing team this could be a great selection for mid to high mana battles against an opponent who likes to use that Lama with last stand!
