Hello!

Today I saw a post from @theycallmedan where opens an initiative to share our thoughts on HIVE, the new path that choose the Steem community to improve decentralization.
I think it is a good chance to share what I think with the community.

What is HIVE to you?

HIVE is the true and pure DECENTRALIZATION at all levels. The Steem community decided almost completely to move from STEEM after the acquisition of Steemit INC (and the Ninja-mined stake)by Justin Sun.
The acquisition itself wasn't the problem, the problem was the concerns the community have of the use of that stake that was compromised to be used for development at the early days.
The actions taken by Justin Sun proved that the community and specially the witnesses elected were right and Justin was going to take actions that are contrary to the vision of the Steem blockchain.
Specially regarding the decentralization part.
So, for me HIVE is the the materialization of the community's desire to be fully sovereign and decentralized.

Header What do you want to see HIVE evolve into?

HIVE should be whatever the community decides to become. I share the vision and some core values that Steem has had which are:

• Fully decentralized community
• A blockchain where app developers can build their dApps and find a REAL community which shares the same usernames and can cross-platform and profit from synergies.

I think that the main goal should be to bring tools that can assure that this vision can shine at its fullest.

What I also want to see HIVE focused is on bring UTILITY to the tokens. For example, I want to be able to buy products and services with the tokens and that process should be as easy as possible.
Anything that can make the tokens usable adds VALUE to the ecosystem

What do you think about having a large funded DAO for future HIVE development?

I think that this is a really good path to follow. It can assure that a decentralized community can decide which projects and products are worth funding and we can have really great TALENT using this funds. For example (former Steemit INC employees).
I would love to see @vandeberg @roadscape and the other members using this funds for actual and REAL development.
