War of the Worlds: Size Doesn't Matter!

As advertisers put it: advertising is the soul of the business! Since the beginning of time, the way to present any product, any service - including government officials - defines the commercial success of this product.

The instigation of the imagination, before the multimedia age, was the most effective weapon for selling anything that ever existed. Many instigations even succeeded in selling products that later proved to be misleading or harmful.

The Author, H.G. Wells, brilliantly writes this novel, which later condensed into a book, which deals with an invasion by the Martians, as simple as that! This novel was written, in the same vein as Borrouws, in The Princess of Mars (which later in the 21st century became the movie John Carter).

At the end of the 19th century, with the technological improvement of telescopes and astronomical understandings aligned with the physical-quantum discoveries, in addition to the use of electricity (a source of light more efficient than candles!), furrows could be observed on the face of Mars, mountains, lakes, carved faces and other things (I describe what was seen in the late 19th century). From the lens of the telescopes added to the imagination, it was as a result that there would be cities, with roads, with buildings and with aliens - of course.

From this discovery and from the deductions, now known to be wrong and others inconclusive, were born several literary works on the subject of Mars.

While most went to Mars, to Wells, Mars came to us. From this work comes the allusion phrase: "If they came to colonize, we are for them, as the Indians were for the Spanish colonizers!". It's the best summary of this book, but of course not its ending!

In 1938, the CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System), a network of radio stations, decided to change the programming of the standard sound soap operas.

A contextual detail: until the post-war period, television was something inhospitable - as much because it did not have a place to buy, as well as television stations, which were very few in the world), radio was and, in large part, still is, in the world, the vehicle communication tool most used by mankind. It's pretty simple to understand: a radio now costs a few dollars. A radio station is low-cost and can be implemented in a very short time (today there are internet radios, even!) and with an absurd range!

The radio aggregates distant regions and whose visual audience interest does not guarantee a return.

In 1938 everyone sat around the radio after dinner to listen. The imagination ran wild, as there was no visual side. People could wash dishes while listening, they weren't visually captive.

On October 30 of that year, everyone the station reached was sitting and listening when, suddenly, without entries or advertisements, alerts of strange things going on began. Of an invasion, noises in the background, uncertainties thrown into the air, people screaming, dying, death rays in sonorous form, explosions and gunshots. For two hours people really believed that the country was being invaded, not country, the world was being invaded by aliens from Mars. This generated panic generated!

Even today the psychological effects of that night are studied. Advertisers understood that Pandora's box was open: working on people's deep psychology yields more sales, as emotional memory is much stronger than rational memory and lasts longer. (We all remember some food from childhood that calms and brings good feelings and all the products involved are bought without question!)

In the end, after some looting, heart attacks and disheveled women, everything was brought back to the truth!

One of the interferences of this book, in the destiny of humanity, was the liquid fuel of Apollo 11, developed by Goddard. This scientist clearly says that the multi-mestage rocket and fuel was inspired after reading the book!

In 1953, the film with the same name was released, brilliantly adapted, it now demonstrates, in visual, the same technical precision of 1938. A contemporary peculiarity of that time: at a certain point, the protagonist discovers that the aliens are so advanced that they have color cameras adapted in their armored vehicles. And who command them remotely!!!!

The 1953 tripods are so brilliantly crafted for the techniques of the time that they are, to this day, models for many movies and, beyond that, the famous death ray and its sound, are bold in games and other components to this day.

Not at all reminiscent of the 2005 movie, forgive me Spilberg, it was rubbish! Little girl screaming the entire movie, Cruise being Curise the entire movie, in the soup and on the skids of the '53 movie, even the tripods are crude. Beautiful special effects at the expense of the book.

In the book, what saves humanity is Earth. In the 1953 film there is a mixture of divine miracle with the Earth itself. (Details are up to anyone who wants to watch the 1953 film! It is much, much more than I described here and, until the last minute, you can't tell, The tension is until the last moment!)

In 2005, only junk! Readers who decide.

Often it is not the things that are in our eyes, or within our human reach, that save us from problems.

Everything will corroborate for situations to happen or not happen.

The sum of all the acts is what determines how successful a given situation will happen.

For human issues, it must be remembered that there is always a clash between acts, of different human beings, with different interests. If one lost and the other won, unless it is in direct competition, with equal conditions, it is due to macro factors that do not have full control.

The intersection in the life and graphic analysis of the financial market, in moving averages, is nothing more than the synthesis of all the factors that converge at that point.

When you decide to enter or leave such a financial market position, taking into account volume, strength, impetus and other information - in addition to various mathematical tools, it defines your success and that of others who are looking at the same condition. And at each entry and exit, these will interfere with the cadence over time.

But, mathematical coldness aside, the psychological factor is very important: taking actions that are timely, quick and without looking at the big picture makes you lose money.

That's why good and bad coin dealers, those people who sell you coins, know that. They launch emotional banners that the moment is now, that everyone does, that no one misses! Just as CBS did back in 1938, all propagandists do today. And, in cryptocurrencies, this head banging becomes wild.

Stay cool, logically and emotionally, like Mr. Spock from Star Trek.

That, if it doesn't guarantee you gains, it will prevent you from losing!

Remember, success is not just when you win, but when you avoid losing, which is much broader than just accumulating!

Watch out for the little green men from Mars!
