Since the French Revolution, between 1789 and 1799, there has been an in-depth study of what are the triggers that bring people to causes that radically change the course of history.

Unlike the English Revolution, between 1640 and 1651, which was also motivated by the absolutist question, but with a genuinely religious background, the French Revolution was eminently chaotic and coming from the population, given the mockery and debauchery of the French court. as diise Marie Antoinette, the French queen, when asked about the reasons for the people's hunger, replies: "If you don't have bread, let them eat brioche!"

A reflection: in world history, English governance is the only one that has gone through a process of the fall of royalty, the seizure of parliament and, due to the need for stability, the return of a king, maintaining a parliamentary monarchy to this day. This piece of contemporary British stability is closely linked to the civil war resulting from the English revolution. That's why the monarchy in England is so preserved.

Finally, the French Revolution left as a legacy the universal human rights treaty, a secular state, administratively separated from the aristocracy and the church, the first prototype of a national public service, of a government administrative structure based on areas of knowledge and with civil hierarchy, the importance of science supporting the ruler, the maintenance of the rotation of rulers as a means of always inspecting the state, and the emergence of Napoleon Bonaparte (which ends up changing the entire European context after the Napoleonic period)!

But it all starts with the hunger of the people and the feeling of the monarchic government's inability to manage the state.

In 2005, the film "V" fot Vendetta, adapted from the comics by Alan Moore, deals with a dystopian world with references to 1984 of Orwell and the Nazi Third Reich. A totalitarian state, resulting from a viral pandemic, which destroyed the social fabric and normal control, made a central command, unified and militarily strengthened, to intervene in every point of British life.

In the case of the film, having the pandemic as a justification for the weight of the state on the citizen, maintaining external hostilities with the United States, as a form of distraction from internal issues, keeping all the media under control and using different news to guide the thinking of the people, "V", protagonist, starts with small terrorist acts and, within a year, plants the triggers of the population for revolution while internally destroying the hierarchy of government both from the point of view of command and moral authority.

In fact, the way the film is placed, points out harsh criticism to the ways in which governments, of lesser or greater use, manipulate the population in general in order to keep them stable, calm and without insurmountable questions.

It also shows a mirror of society regarding intolerances and how much a government can treat the "different" in government's eyes, suppressing rights and freedoms for the sake of the nation's unity.

After 16 years, with a real pandemic that ravages the world, with governments worn out in ever more subtle control models and with ever stronger ties, with nationalist speeches and the election of external enemies to keep the focus away from reality, the world current is much more mirrored in this movie.

It is not criticism or politicization, but when watching the film, you are open to the invitation to rethink reality and current society, in all aspects.

Under this invitation is the inevitable contrast between global financial governance and the new digital technologies offered by cryptocurrencies.
