What is the dominant being, or race, on the planet? This question has a simple answer: insects, from the hexapoda superclass, insecta class from the arthopoda phylum. No, it's not primates, homo sapiens, in case you thought about it!
The human being, whose ego always revolves around the navel, thinks he dominates the environment because technologically he can destroy everything! But who has never been bitten by a mosquito, a flea, a louse, a spider, or seen a cockroach, fly, grasshopper or cicada? (Of course, some of these are hexapoda, but not insects per se, as they don't have a Johnson organ, or mouthparts, but let's leave it at that!)
The dominant species has been here since before the dinosaurs and will be on earth after humans disappear. yes, we will eventually destroy ourselves at some point. And if we don't, in 100 million years the solar corona will expand 2cm and life on earth will have to adapt around 45 to 50 degrees.....super easy, don't you think?
Insects have changed very little, evolutionarily, adapt in a fascinating way, gain by a simple survival and evolutionary technique: overpopulation!
Predador, a 1987 film, was the first, of its kind, that repositions the human being as prey. The film, like any other simple adventure film, is an unbridled slaughter with theme-appropriate special effects, a plot, and weak dialogues (like any film of its kind back then). But something new had been offered to the viewer in this film: at a certain point, in a deliberate reversal, the viewer began to root for the hunter.
In fact, the exaggerated special effects, in this specific film, and the exaggeratedly egocentric and arrogant dialogues have a purpose: to demonstrate the arrogance of an era of military forces of a certain country over the world. Of a certain network of intrigues that, at will, changed governments and, in a subtle hand, altered the directions of nations. But that it was powerless against this predator.
It was cold war and the two great powers were doing it! A backroom war!
In this film, the "predator" showed himself not only intelligently superior (until then, in movie theaters, man has always fought monsters, against animals - like giant spiders - or aliens with great firepower!) but also individually equipped for honorable combat and permanent self-challenge.
Based on superior technology, on the lookout, it hunts down, one by one, all those who wield a weapon or show themselves as warriors.
Two technologies have become the hallmark of this alien: thermographic vision, camouflage, extremely fast learning, adaptability and a portable, individual bomb that would make the famous Russian H-bomb, launched 5 years earlier, envious.
In fact, all of these technologies were weapons of superpower propaganda, whether or not, for example, stealth - not camouflage - technology emerged in effective service in the 1991 Gulf War between Iraq and Kuwait.
The film, like Alien, became pop culture.
In many ways, the traditional financial market has the same level of arrogance and manipulation as that army in the movie. In the same way, they use that could to do what they want.
But, in this jungle, cryptocurrencies began to appear, namely, bitcoin and ethereum that not only distance the financial intermediary from dealings with the investor, but also come with technological guarantees such as blockchain, mining, direct brokerage and the ability to release sub-assets in a decentralized manner , in addition to capitation and resources in a matter of hours - compared to weeks in traditional regular asset transactions.
But, being deterministic networks, they are, in part, more predictive than traditional financial networks.
So far the camouflage was working.
The question remains: will a bomb be set up, like the predator in the first film, to destroy everything?
Another: in the second film, like cryptocurrencies, other predators are shown, so will there ever be consensus and regulation to give strength to this new financial species?
In both films, the most worthy warriors survived, using cunning, intelligence and adaptability.
Dear reader, can you survive/live with the predator without exploding or dying sliced?
Can it be adaptable to stay in this universe?
The predator is on the loose, in the form of bitcoin, killing those who don't adapt. It makes the impatient lose money and leads to the despair of hunted game for those who cannot read the signs!
Where do you want to be in this story?
Good hunting!
