I know around these parts everyone wants to talk about the Brave browser and how awesome it is. (It's my main browser, so I get it). Sometimes you will see some articles about the Netbox Global browser or CryptoTab Browser (both of which I use on a sporadic basis). But that is usually all the browsers you hear mentioned on Publish0x.

Well I want to introduce (or reintroduce) to you the Vivaldi browser. It was released in early 2015. It was created by this guy (Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner) who was also a co-founder of the Opera browser. It was created to be a great alternative to Opera when Opera switched to be a Chromium based browser. Yet ironically Vivaldi is also a Chromium based browser so go figure. A year ago they have 1.2 million monthly users.
Onto the browser it self and why I am even writing a article on it. Version 3 of the desktop browser was just released and with a slew of updates came along for the ride which make it worth mentioning.
- Default Tracker Blocker: It will disable websites from tracking you around the internet.

- Ad Blocker: This is self explanatory but it is NOT turned on by default. You can easily turn it on and set granular limits as to what websites you want to block ads on. Basically picture the Shield in the Brave Browser.

- Stupid but cool features: There is a clock in the status bar that you can customize. This could be nice for a multiple screen setup where the Windows clock only shows on 1 screen.
- Spatial Navigation: This lets you find links on a webpage by just using the Shift key and Cursor Keys. Nice feature but one I wouldn't use.
Other Features that I feel need a mention.
- Built in screenshot tool: I for one swear by Greenshot as my screenshot software. It is open sourced and amazing. But for those who don't have Greenshot, Vivaldi has a built in one.
- Group Tabs: you can group tabs together and even name them. This is such an underrate feature!
- Sidebar: They have a sidebar that has multiple functions, like note taking, bookmarks, downloads.
There other big announcement is that the Android version of Vivaldi has come out of beta. Now I am not going to get into the nitty gritty of the Android version except to say it basically has all the same features as the desktop version.
