This month is turning out to be nasty; it has been difficult, challenging and frankly I am fed up with it. The thermometer and heat is representative of my mood!
Yeah - this one is going to be a bit of a rant GRRR!
Let me start at the beginning.
- Younger_Rah came home nine days ago after spending most of the first half of October in hospital. He'd actually had what was supposed to be a simple operation - an in one day out the next procedure - at the end of September and all seemed fine, until two days later when he got a virulent infection which saw him hospitalised for16 days and it wasn't just a case of the direct impact (which was tough enough), but it was the fall out that came from that. While Mama_Rah came home as often as she could through swapping and sharing the care, Older_Rah missed her and especially in the evenings.
- Around about the same time my sister-in-law back in England broke her ankle in a fall and she was in hospital for several days before they even had a plan. She has now had a corrective operation, but is stuck in bed in the hospital for goodness knows how long
- Yesterday, in the afternoon, Older_Rah was running in the flat (something we are always telling him not to do) and he slipped and cracked his head open on the corner of a wall, which required another hospital visit. Fortunately (if you can ever say that in these circumstances) the wound in the end while deep was only about 5mm long so they were able to use strips to hold his skin in place with a minimum of intrusion, which will hopefully reduce scarring or maybe there won't even be one. We can hope.
If there is any positive, I do feel I have made some steps towards healing old wounds, but in the context of others who I love and care about that is hardly important.
I am tired of hospitals and I am tired of October. Goodbye and Good Riddance!
As always stay safe and well my friends.
