Cryptocurrencies have been around for less than a decade, but they have already caused a lot of commotion. Some people believe that they are the future of money, while others think that they are a bubble that is about to burst.

Regardless of what you think about cryptocurrencies, it is hard to deny that they have changed the way we think about money. In the past, money was something that you could hold in your hand. Today, money is something that exists in the digital world.

Cryptocurrencies are also changing the way we think about death. In the past, when someone died, their money died with them. Today, cryptocurrencies can be passed down to heirs. This means that your money can continue to grow even after you die.

If you die without any sort of plan in place for your crypto, your loved ones will be left to figure out how to survive.  Here are a few things to consider if you want to ensure that your crypto goes to the right person after you die.

  1. Make a list of all your accounts and passwords. This will include exchanges, wallets, and any other platform where you hold cryptocurrency. Store this information safe place and let your loved ones know where to find it.
  2. If possible, use a hardware wallet to store your cryptocurrency. This is the most secure way to keep your coins safe, and it means that your heirs will just need to know your PIN code to access them.
  3. If you can't use a hardware wallet, make sure that your chosen software wallet has a strong password and two-factor authentication enabled. Again, let your loved ones know where to find this information.
  4. Draw up a will or living trust and include explicit instructions for what should happen to your crypto in the event of your death. Without this, it could be subject to probate and end up in the hands of someone you didn't intend.
  5. By taking these precautions, you can ensure your money will continue to grow and your loved ones will not have to worry ..
