Review - Niconvault.com

Niconvault.com

This website purports to be a place where you can invest Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, or Ether to earn between 0.4468-0.6% return daily. The site is, however, riddled with issues and I highly suspect the people operating it are attempting to steal cryptocurrencies for reasons detailed below.

The landing page looks very professional. It has a few "testimonials", some pictures of the team behind the site, a really basic discussion about what they allegedly do on the backend, a very short FAQ section, and a basic "Contact Us" webform. Unfortunately, it only goes downhill from there. While the account creation process was certainly seamless, once you're logged into your newly created account, all of that helpful information from the landing page is no longer accessible without logging out of the account. What kind of financial service company would design their website to function this way? Answer: a feckless one or a fake one.

So, now, we need to get into what is missing. The short answer: everything!

Once you're logged into the site the only thing you can do is send money to one of the three wallets (BTC, ETH, or BCH). It doesn't have any details about minimum deposits, lockup periods, rates, a whitepaper, how the software supposedly works, a contact form, a help section, nothing, just send them your coins, they got your back!

I did the following; so, you do not have to!

Curiosity did get the best of me and I sent a small amount of Bitcoin Cash ($0.25 worth to be specific) to the address they provided just to see exactly how the website responded. The funniest thing is that they have you fill out a little form to "confirm your deposit" where you tell them how much you sent them (so they can repeat it back to you later, of course, because who would want to write software that actually monitors the blockchain to do so)! Interesting, when looking at the address now, there are two transactions to that very same address. I suspect they just provide the same address to everyone. Here is a link to the address they provided and a screengrab showing the two deposits that were sent to it (the highlighted deposit was the one I sent): Link to the BCH address on blockchain.com's explorer.

I did write a scathing review of the site on Trustpilot and they responded to me assuring that they are legitimate and wouldn't scam you. I'm unconvinced but let them know I'd be happy to have my quarter returned to me via the address that originally sent it; but, won't be holding my breath.

Conclusions

This site is almost certainly a scam. Nothing about it makes me think otherwise. Avoid it like the plague!

Thanks for reading my first post on publish0x! Feel free to follow me if you found this interesting as I intend to write more reviews like this in the future.
