Do you remember that post that I put out yesterday about my plan to get some free Hive tokens?
Well, it worked wonderfully! I even got $1 of profit from my STEEM sell off!
Here are all the deets. But before that, if you didn't read yesterday's post, this one won't make much sense. So check it out here.
Ok. So I'll give you the full gist before talking a little about the hive token itself.
So I actually had to buy about $10 worth more STEEM to average myself out from the dwindling prices, because the price was falling like a rock.
I managed to buy some at the all time low price for today, and that helped bring my average very very low.
Then STEEM forked at around 4pm London time. I use Coinigy, so I was able to set a time to put my sell order into the market. I set my sell order to go off at exactly 4:01pm London time, right after the screenshots of the accounts had been taken.
There was one last baby pump right before 4pm. These were the late comers to the market. The pump was only a 2% one, but it enabled me to get out if my $1000 position with a $1 profit even. Had this gone any other way, I could have lost $200!

Now I'm guaranteed to have $1000 worth of Hive when it is released to us on Binance, and I still have my $1000 investment, with an extra $1 worth of Ether! Things went rather well.
So what's up with the Hive token? I'm pretty sure you're wondering when you'll receive yous.
Well, Binance has put out a statement saying that once the tokens are released by the guys over at Hive, they will be shared equally to everyone who held STEEM through the time of the fork.
It will be shared based on a 1:1 ratio of STEEM to Hive, so if you had 4STEEM tokens, you'd get 4Hive tokens and so on.
Hive hasn't been slated to be listed on Binance yet, although some exchanges have already promised to list it once it comes out.
We will soon know more about it, such as its launch price and valuation. And whether or not it would live up to STEEM's legacy.
Until then, thanks for reading!
