Massive gains in the previous year usually means either or two things.

Basic Attention Token, or BAT as it's popularly known has appreciated by 45% since last year.

This is an amazing development, seeing as the token is more or less worth pennies, and you can get it for free.

45% is a pretty large number over a year for any investment, so it's very substantial for Brave and its investors.

So with this massive move up, what is the next direction for Brave and BAT?

Will it keep on sky rocketing, or will there be a correction by the market?

Personally, I'm going with option 2.

Since its all time high, BAT hasn't had an upward move this large.

It's quite impressive given that the token just started getting mass adoption.

A move this large is usually followed by an equally large move down. It's simple market mathematics.

Corrections give room for more movement up in the future. But since utility can never be 100%, downward moves are important to enable fresh adopters come into the scene.

And seeing as BAT is in an upward channel on the hourly, but has formed a rising wedge pattern on the daily, I believe that a correction comes next.

And it only makes sense. With the halving in a few months, it's obvious that BAT's price will form a brand new all time high.

Seeing as it can't just keep uptrending like that, a correction is coming soon.

As I analysed in this post, BAT's price will keep rising until it reaches its resistance. Then it will fall like a rock back to support.
