Religion, Economics, and Modern Geopolitics.

What is religion in Russia today? This post is about Russia's state religion, Russian Orthodoxy, and how Moscow's control and use of this religion has replaced genuine, liberating, humanistic ideals with just another tool of state rhetoric. But this post also provides insight into genuine humanistic religion. What are these prophecies, more humorous than scientific, about geopolitical events in Russia? I also discuss dark fantasies and suggest a better way to understand geopolitical events in Ukraine and Russia.

Religion of Russia

In this post I want to talk about religion, about the Russian Orthodox religion as it exists in the Russian state under Moscow and under the Tsar. This is going to be a fun post, with a lot of information. My claim to the Russian Orthodox Church is how it exists in its current state in a bureaucratic form in Russia. And I argue that it is not a religion in the correct sense. Now we have to be careful about this issue, because Orthodoxy is certainly a religion, and the followers of Orthodoxy are certainly true believers. But my claim and assertion are in the context of a bureaucratic structure that goes back to the patriarch. In my understanding, there is no true religion in Russia, it is not a religion. So in this post we will talk about the 19th century, we will touch on some literature from the 19th century, we will talk about what religion is, how I define it. We will talk about the geopolitical influence of religion on the world, we will talk about some prophecies. We will talk about the dark world of Russia and dark fantasies, and what it is and what it looks like. Finally, in the context of the discussion, why Ukraine will win and Russia will lose. So there are quite a few topics to discuss, and what is very important, there is a lot of interesting stuff.

In the 19th century, a lot of literature appeared, in particular, Sigmund Freud, and I consider him one of the greatest figures in world literature (by the way, I invite you to read the author's work with poems based on the psychoanalysis of Sigmund Freud and Karl Jaspers about our Ego).

And Freud often talked about repression, about suppression and oppression, but what he was talking about was the repression of political forces in Victorian England. And of course Bram Stoker with Dracula is a literary reflection of what was happening, it is a kind of romanticized version of repression and suppression, there are echoes of it even in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Twilight political repression and oppression, but that is not what is being suppressed today, Viktor Frankl would have echoed me when he talked about the human search for meaning in life, the desire to live a meaningful life, that was what was said in Victorian England, that this energy should not be suppressed. It is religion, spirituality and the search for meaning that has often been criticized and suppressed, and even people who are reading this publication now may say, come on, I am a humanist. But listen to me. Religion is not a substitute for humanism. You can be a humanist and a person of faith. Humanism and religion, true faith, means going back to the source, to who you really are, to the Divine spark, humanism and faith go hand in hand. True religion (faith) is a desire for peace, to make the world a better place. And most religious people, contrary to what the media says and the emotional surges of dopamine, most people just go to church or read prayers, hoping for help in life's journey and good luck. But faith is more than that. True religion is a radical reorientation of your life. It means that you reject materialism. You reject political idolatry, and in this way you are your own religion, trying to make the world a better place, trying to be a good person and a light for other people, even if they do not see the light shining inside, you embrace peace and love because you believe. So before we discuss the geopolitics of Russia, we discuss what is true religion and faith. The Tsar of Russia is afraid of religion, he wants to eradicate it, because it goes hand in hand with freedom of speech. True religion is not about believing in abstract things, it is about bringing light to humanity and believing in a better humanity, trying to make the world a better place. That is what the Russian government is afraid of. Let's take communist Poland as an example. At that time, there were sort of secret clubs where you were a member of a Catholic club, you went to church, and that was above communism, above the government. It was more than just an abstract feeling that people were there for a reason, but to explain who they were, what the meaning of this life was, and what it was all about. The force behind these people was a radical reorientation of their lives. And it would be hard to argue that that was not a driving geopolitical force in the overthrow of communism and the power structure in Poland. And that is what Putin is afraid of. And he's not religious, because a religious person would probably give up his wealth or a significant part of it and clothe the poor, help people, promote peace, create a better world. But he's not, he's suppressing free speech, and free speech and religion are twin brothers. And the Tsar wants to eradicate all of that to the point where people are apolitical and areligious. I've seen on YouTube people being asked about geopolitical events in Russia, and people give some cute philosophical answers, some of them giggling, some of them looking over their shoulders as if to say they can't say something. My God, people don't even think about how much free speech and religion are a radical reorientation of life. And this is what Putin is afraid of. If you want to understand the essence of Russia, do not turn to Machiavelli, do not turn to Karl Marx, do not turn to Adam Smith. Turn to the novel and the TV series "The Godfather." The Godfather is a hypocrite, a sign of a hypocritical religion, a cliché. Remember Putin's own words that the KGB is always the KGB, aka the FSB. And the Russian Orthodox Church is controlled by the FSB and is used as a propaganda tool. Russian Orthodoxy in its current bureaucratic state is not a religion, but a branch of the FSB in Russia, and this is the truth without embellishment. You know, I am a hardened skeptic, I advise you to read the American magazine "Skeptical Inquirer" - a very interesting magazine published by the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry. The mission of the publication is "to encourage critical examination of paranormal phenomena and claims of fringe science, from a responsible, scientific point of view, and to report the facts about the results of such investigations to the scientific community and the public." And you may ask yourself, how can you be a skeptic and a believer at the same time? Yes, if you understand that God is not a super-magician in our world, if you learn to criticize all sorts of conspiracies, if you do not believe in super-magic or in the supernatural. There is a complex stratification of reality in Hegel's words, and also I would recommend reading Hans Kohn, really delving into it, to be skeptical and critical of some things. And let's talk about other funny things, I don't know if this is funny or not, I find it light-hearted and frivolous, because I do not take it too seriously. We are talking about prophecies related to the geopolitical event in Ukraine and Russia, as well as biblical prophecies, Catholic prophecies and other prophecies, Tibetan prophecy. The prophecies can talk about the Great Event in history and the Big Dipper in the north, the seal of supernatural powers and all that, the apocalypse. One famous authority on the Gospels once said that the apocalyptic literature actually only talks about the Roman Empire and all this had to do with the Roman gods. Now I will throw that aside, but I do not discount it 100%. But you know, as for Nostradamus, he is too exaggerated. I do not see anything special in him. He is a real authentic Catholic prophet. You can weave anything into his quatrains. It is like a tabula rasa (blank slate), you just look and whatever you want to see, you will see. What about Vanga's prophecies? They are important for Russia because they speak specifically about Russia. I think that the last prophecy, which speaks about the Illumination of Russia, has been misinterpreted by the Pope. And I don't want to say anything bad about the Pope. The Pope is infallible, he can make wrong chess moves, he is simply infallible in doctrinal matters, but he can be wrong in geopolitical statements, in prophecies that he interpreted incorrectly, not quite correctly, saying that the prophecy speaks about dedication, about blessing Russia. I interpret it as some kind of genuine walk, a religious conversion through suffering. It is like drug addicts who radically change their lives with the help of religion. They move mountains, they tell the mountain to move and it moves. That is what Putin is afraid of. He is afraid that the mountains will move. The hypocritical "godfather" is afraid that the mountains will move. Because something similar has happened in other countries, it can happen in Russia too. You have to understand that there is a difference between real religion and the Russian Orthodox Church, which belongs to people in heavy coats, with yachts and lots of money in their pockets. So Vanga's prophecies are pretty close to reality in their correct understanding. And what about Baba Yaga? She is an ancient goddess from pagan mythology in pre-Christian beliefs, she is the protector of the forest, wildlife and peace on earth. And the Russians are actually destroying all of this, and there will be a price to pay for it. Okay, these are just for fun, some prophecies related to the ongoing geopolitical event in Russia. But let's get back to the basic premise that the ROC in the context of the bureaucracy of Russia is not a real religion. And if people knew and understood real religion, they would not run to the front, they would run from the front. The ROC is just a division of the FSB, not a real religion. The ROC is an arm of the FSB with its network of spies. Now let's get down to the important stuff, let's talk about dark fantasies. Dark fantasies are when you sit there and see something bad happening in Ukraine, and you start fantasizing about how it would look in a post-apocalyptic Russia, in a very negative way for the country's leaders. I strongly recommend against going over to the dark side, because there is no forgiveness with slings and arrows. In life, when you play chess, when you lose, you become emotional, heated, thirsty for revenge. But wanting to win, you must remain a chess player, be above yourself, not harboring dark fantasies, not thinking badly of anyone. If you want to fantasize, it is better to imagine how all Russians raise the white flag and lay down their arms - isn't that better than a dark fantasy? But fear, anger, hatred lead to dark fantasies. They stay with you, chew on in your head. Mass protest, mass surrender, how the enemy lowers his hands - this is a positive fantasy. Because the essence of life is a positive visualization of how Russia, by surrendering, makes the world a better place. Yes, it is necessary to fight injustice. But even if you want compensation for damages, for the responsible people to pay, you are partially immersed in the Darkness, and it will eat you up from the inside. And I believe that this is why Russia commits terrorist acts against Ukraine, to make people angry, and when people get angry, it causes dark fantasies, it causes hatred and anger. And whoever gets angry, he begins to not care about everything around him, and the anger breaks out, immersing you in dark fantasies. And this is where the Tsar of Russia draws his strength. He is an agent of the dark side, he works for the dark side, metaphorically or literally, he needs you. If you do not give in to this, then you will see how today's Russia will collapse. It is important to have confidence, patience and vigilance. And it is important to have faith that conquers and moves mountains, despite the obstacles, to build a better world. And maybe in 100 or 200 years there will be healing between Russia and Ukraine. At the same time, it is necessary to focus on the good and see the light and goodness. This is what Putin is truly afraid of. He is afraid that people will focus on the light and goodness. What he likes is to destroy, to cause hatred and negative emotions. And this is not the Light Force, this is the energy of the Dark Force. Be optimistic, focus on the good, make the world a better place, feed the positive energy that will overthrow the hated regime in Russia, you will see how the world becomes a better place.

Prophecies of Russia

People born in the Soviet Union remember how all religion was destroyed and replaced by KGB impostors.

The Russian Orthodox Church is actually a secret service in funny hats...

There are people who put all their faith and trust in themselves. These people believe that those who believe in anything else, especially religion, are more likely to fail. Now move mountains, that's the other half of the truth, but just don't be successful, help others, serve others and move mountains. And even those who are not successful, but as believers, they are trying to improve their soul. Many people who have wealth are lost souls. They do not serve humanity, but are full of pride and bragging about what they have done.

As humanists, we need freedom of expression in religion, and religion simply goes back to the source of who we are.

The problem with the Orthodox Church in Putin's Russia goes back to the Orthodox Church of the Byzantine Roman Empire. There were periods in the Eastern Roman Empire when the Eastern Caesar was treated as if he were the de facto head of the Church and its "protector." (In the Western Church, the Pope's battles with various kings helped establish the idea of Church and State as separate institutions, which was later reinforced by the rise of various Protestant sects.) After the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire to the Ottomans, the Russian Orthodox Church embraced the idea that Russia would become a third Rome (much of European history seems to be spent trying to restore the Roman Empire) and that the new "Rome," the "protector" of the Church, was the "Tsar." The Russian word is Caesar. The Russian Orthodox Church adopted the ideas of the Byzantine Church. So there is a long tradition in Russia of the Church being subordinate to the head of state, whoever that may be. Putin has been able to use this to his advantage, as has every Tsar that Russia has ever had. And the "baptism" of the Russian Orthodox Church into communism (so to speak) only strengthened the tendency to obey the head of state.

The word "orthodox" comes from the Greek word "orthos", which means "correct" or "straightforward". And the Greek word "doxa", which means "opinion" or "praise" (i.e. speaking). So if you are orthodox, then you have the "correct opinion" and you are a "straight speaker", not someone who speaks crookedly and thinks the wrong thing.

This position fully developed around the second century of Christianity. There was Scripture. And then there were works of fiction, crossover fiction (Christianity and Platonism), alternate universe fiction (false gods creating an endless rope of false realities). Printing had not yet been invented, so Christians had to rely on their bishops, who had copies of Scripture and were smart enough to sort out the confusion. So being a "straight talker" with "corrective opinions" became extremely important. And Eastern Christian bishops eventually came to depend on Eastern Christian emperors calling councils to help maintain "order." When the Bishop of Rome began asserting his superiority over all other bishops, the Eastern bishops thought this idea was speaking crooked language, and the Great Schism occurred. Now there was the Catholic (meaning "universal") Church and the Orthodox Church. Relations between the two suffered greatly when one of the Catholic Crusades sacked Constantinople before moving further east. And this weakened Constantinople so much that it later fell to the Ottomans and brought an end to the Eastern Roman Empire. The Orthodox have never forgotten this.

Orthodoxy has a hidden tendency to be suspicious of everything outside of itself. That is, if I alone have a corrective opinion, direct speech, then there is and can be nothing else.

The Russian Orthodox Church is headed by a former colleague of Putin's in the FSB, and that says it all. Previously, the church was the basis of organized life, because it provided explanations, and faith gave us a reason to cooperate with strangers outside our immediate social group. With the advent of the Enlightenment, science began to give us other means of explanation, and the (immediate) relevance was lost. Having lost its great importance, religion is increasingly used and distorted by politicians, it is just another tool and a real opium of the masses, Marx would be proud. They are not interested in true religion, for them it is just a means of misleading and ideological processing. Karl-Heinz Deschner wrote a book "Criminal History of Christianity", it is almost 10,000 pages and 100,000 sources of atrocities for which the Catholic Church is responsible. No level in the church is an exception, it is the rule. The basis of any religion is to strengthen the boundaries within the community and declare everyone else bad. But personally, I would write 10 times more about good deeds. This is the same good in the medical profession. After all, I do not reject medicine and science. To say that people are imperfect is not an understanding, but a truism.

Take religion as a personal matter, you accept it and believe in it. I draw the line when your religion teaches you to hate people who practice another religion and think that they are nothing and have no rights, it becomes a bad force.

Any human bureaucracy has its flaws, because we, humans, create it, not angels or saints. However, you look at the negative, but look at the positive, the church does countless things for the world. You cannot have a negative filter. Freedom of religion and freedom of speech are almost the same. Of course, each church defends its dogma, but we are not talking about that, we are talking as humanists, we can all freely and openly choose what set of ideals we ascribe to.

We are the threads of energy between heaven and earth. Think and be positive energy.
