I Stopped Mining!

THE MERGE... aaam... yeah, need to say more?

The utterly greatest widely spread, decentralised mining algorithm that was created after Monero and Vertcoin, just dumped the miners for a more "ecologically" performance in: transaction speed, low gas fees etcetera, at least this is the "official" version.

The true fact is that Vitalik never ever intended to make his beloved blockchain to actually be validated/mined by regular users, according to his own words!

So there it is he hates us, he does not want poor people to become rich, just to be slaves... on his ETH 2.0 (which out of "marketing" reasons is not 2.0, only... ETH... yeah it is business guys, nothing more). This coin that literally gave hope to the people (not to me, I never trusted Ethereum foundation and never will), it became no more then a "meme" coin to me. Hah, yeah I know what your going to tell me, so go ahead and do it, your great opinion about Ethereum will not change that simple fact, total control of the Ethereum blockchain and it's users, absolute financial power to the abominable rich individuals and corporations and forever fame and prosperity to the developing team (mostly for the "genius"). Ok, enough said about this, it's already started to make me sick thinking about it.

Now, the miners are gone from the Ethereum chain, so they obviously went to other blockchains like Ravencoin, Firo, Bitcoin Gold, Ethereum Classic and several others. These algorithmic coins did not have their protocol updated to sustain a tremendous amount of hashing power and basically killed the average users/miners.

On this chart you're goin to see how low is the profitability of a single GPU (RTX 3060)

The hashing power for RVN increased from GHs before the merge to TH after the merge, this means that an RTX 3060 could mine in a month between 650 to 750 RVN, now it dropped to 100 or less.

The only team that at least did something, is Monero's, when few months before the merge, did some upgrades to increase privacy, but also to increase further ASIC resistance, so on this matter I would say: Good Job Guys, Keep It Up!

From my point view, the future is not so bright, not because of this ESG bullc"#p but because of the low reaction from development teams of the above mentioned coins.

I mined a little bit of ETH but swap-dumped it in favour for BTC.

I mined XMR and continue to do so. To me it's the only one left to sustain a mass adoption in the near future.

That's it... no more words... I'm stunned...

PoW vs PoS vs Play-2-Earn vs everything else
PoW vs PoS vs Play-2-Earn vs everything else

The very first cryptocurrency created is the Bitcoin, the true concept for financial independence. The only problem in Satoshi's vision is that, he or them, did not predict how this new type of technology will evolve, from individual mining to corporation mining. Still PoW does indeed what is suppose to do: to give people an opportunity of creating their own coins by mining them and therefore to increase their family income. Nevertheless the PoS seems to be a consensus mechanism that flourish today
