If you guys have been following my previous post regarding the Genopets Blockchain Game, you've been also know that this game might be actually an Axie Infinity killer (I really hate the word "killer's" trendy definition but those who love it, then here you have it). It took them a while to implement the game mechanics but surprisingly their has a truly realistic schedule, unlike so many crappy game out there.
So it all started from downloading and installing. The game requires not more than 200 MB, therefore it is highly likely that you'll have enough space for it. Heck, even Sweatcoin app have higher memory usage then this, not to mention the infamous Facebook which needs far more memory then any blockchain app and quite frankly, FB became a nuisance to me, and uninstall it.
The pet you actually must create it yourself, the best part is that you do not buy it! For the moment the game function more like an steps counting app as Sweatcoin, STEPN or Step are. Most probably the gaming functions will be implemented later on the game as it's road map shows.
Ok now like dive in. I want to point out that the screen shoot are cropped because apparently I can not upload screen shots that are higher then 2 MB in size on Publish0x, therefore the quality of the photos are not reflecting the true in game quality graphics.
This is my pet: Rares No Ken. The starting level of all pets is 1 with a 10000 XP to complete until next lvl.
Bellow your pet is a step counting bank that every time you move it register in there. Unfortunately has some issues at the time until, as the developers said, they'll get Google approval to implement some features in Google Fit. It is a bit irritating that after for example a hard day work when you open the app nothing is counted. but I presume that might have some issue with the other app that I'm using, the Sweatcoin app. I will investigate it further and let you guys know about this issue if it's real or not.
On the other hand I found a way to register the uncounted steps and that is to load the game 1 or 2 times cancel/close the game and reload again. After that your steps are in. In the game you can set your own goal, a kind off realistic goal to make you motivate to do the steps during the day.
Bellow it shows you the registered energy.
DO NOT FORGET TO TRANSFORM ALL YOU STEPS INTO ENERGY on the top right, because after the day passes the counting resets and your previous steps are gone.
I am not sure why the steps do not have an equal amount of energy points. If you compare the above and bellow screenshots you'll see that the counted steps are 7403 and the total Energy is 6117. If anyone have any idea would be great to share it :D!
After your energy is loaded the whole energy transform into xp but you must do it yourself. every counting and transformations must be done manually which is cool if you're going to ask me. It give you freedom of choice of how much energy you want to use. I am not sure if also the energy it will be deleted after the day passes. I'll keep you in touch with this as well.
YEAYYY, now my pet is level 2! Hmm it does not show any visual change yet, maybe after lvl 5 or so? hehehe
Ok so if you're banked steps passes you're daily goal it becomes purple coloured and it looks like bellow.
I had a very hard working day and I finally banked around 23000 steps, still I am not quite sure if the Genopets app registred everything because my Sweatcoin app registred around 31000 steps. Weird. Maybe I sound reporrt this bug. Oh by the way Bug Reports can be sent at this email:
So after that full working day and a few thousand steps later I finally evolved Rares No Ken to lvl 3!
So What do you guys think. would you try this very lovely and good designed game? It is free to download and free to play. There is also a market place where you can sell your pet for any kind of sum you want. The prices are set in GENE.
The Move to Play/Move to Earn type of game I find it to be extremely exiting. I cannot wait to see how the game will evolve in the future!
