I almost totally have the hang of this DeFi thing now, which means if you're not in yet, you're officially late to the game.
Last week while perusing the dApps on TrustWallet, I found Beefy.Finance and decided to stake my CAKE-BNB LP tokens there because the interest rate is so great. I now have over 14.8 of them in the farm, but the APY has since adjusted downward. We'd expect this due to recent market trends, i.e., the value of CAKE increasing significantly and BNB kind of also doing that... so that's okay... Using the calculator at DeFi Yield, I estimated an impermanent farming loss on BNB-CAKE LP tokens of up to 25%, depending on how long I decide to farm with them... That may be more for you if you got in earlier, but will likely be less if you add more liquidity now. The returns and the loss combined may still yield decent returns, but as I see it, staking your CAKE in the CAKE SMART pool is a much better option, as there is almost no risk of losing your stake, no risk of impermanent loss, AND the return is significantly higher. I'm just a noob though, so go ahead and DYOR before you get slap-happy. If that is not a good analysis, please do feel free to let me know as a comment.
Given the things I've been taught and also those I've come to learn myself, this sounds way too good to be true. There MUST be a catch, but there... isn't? Just the stigma of those assets being completely digital, and maybe not even that if you have cool friends. DeFi Yield audits a bunch of exchanges and rates PancakeSwap, Beefy Finance, and Traphouse Yield all as low risk investments. As of now, I've chosen to stick with real drugs like caffeine (basically all the time) and cannabis (only sometimes) instead of digital asset $drugs, but that's just my personal preference. I'll just be over here mining some Ditto instead 😄
Did you notice that we're getting FARM tokens for tipping now?? (Of course you did!) This is really exciting! I've been wanting to get on Harvest Finance for a while, too, and now I don't have to move any more ETH around! Although, I've got to say, I'm very happy with the LRC that I've accumulated with the Loopring AMM. It's looking like it will end up probably being worth the gas fees and maybe even the temper tantrum that I had when my Huawei's LCD screen finally died and I had to pay $49 and wait anxiously for a new one to arrive in the mail before I could replace it because I hadn't set up my wallet 'guardians' yet. Actually, it probably won't pay for all of that... But Loopring could always explode, and then it might :]
Let that be a lesson to you: Get some friends that are also into crypto so that two of them can be custodians of your Loopring wallet. Or your family, as that would probably make more sense, but God knows none of your families probably want anything to do with crypto either... What's with these people? Maybe you could also just use a wallet with real keys...
In other crypto news, I started playing Alien Worlds, and I've determined that it's as cool a game as I'd expect. Apparently it was built in Unity, too, which further inspires me to continue learning. It's still in the beta, and you can tell, but at least it works better than Pokemon GO did back in 2016... To be fair, it's also a lot simpler. Plus, programming is kind of hard. I obtained an extra Standard Shovel while mining and successfully sold it on the WAX marketplace for 0.6 WAX (minus 0.027 WAX in listing and selling fees)... Awww yeah! Haha, it was great timing, too, because apparently tomorrow (January 20th) they are adding another 2% listing fee for all items. Nice. The normal going price for one of those shovels was 0.7 WAX, so if you got mine, you got a deal 😉
I've been playing this game for a couple of days now. It's a very passive game since all you can do is mine, stake TLM to your planet, and equip your character with new mining tools that you may encounter. I've obtained four NFTs in total so far, besides my character, but I've been around my computer for most of the time so I've been playing this passive game pretty actively. Hah, in fact, I've been checking on it so often that I ran out of free CPU time on the blockchain and often have to wait at least five extra minutes to claim my mining rewards. I'd stake some tokens, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet (haven't really tried either)... Here's a Nordic Warrior NFT I got. It will be interesting to see how minions will work when they are implemented:

You can get free CryptoMonkeys NTFs for mining in specific coordinates on planet Neri, as you might already know if you've read this post, so join in now for the best chances to get a good one. If you haven't been much into collecting Banano yet, you should know that the rewards are surprisingly good. Check out banano.cc if you haven't yet. The Banano Miner, in particular, pays out really well. If you're already mining with Cryptotab, though, you probably don't have the computational power to use them both at the same time... It's pretty intense if you go at max power. But, yeah, it definitely pays you in BAN. Plus, you can help computational biochemists fold proteins and nucleic acid and stuff.
It wouldn't be a normal recent post without another referral link, so here it is: MyPoints is one of those open tabs that you might have seen open in that screenshot. I signed up a sometime in 2020 (forgot when) and somehow I have enough points for a $10 gift card. There are a lot of redemption options, including all the standard fare. I haven't really used the website all that much, so if you're into getting internet cash for shopping and doing surveys and stuff, this is one that you should probably check out.
That's all, though. I should have this game demo finished by tomorrow...
