But lets take a look with different angles.
Back in the early days I couldnt resist and I peeked into the dark web.
Easy, compared to today, you gained access to the blackest of the darkest sites, like silk road.
From drugs to guns to passports to conterfied money, all was there.

But would it have been a good deal, besides that it was totaly illegal?

Back then it seemed to be a superb deal, but compared to today - not even compared to an AllTimeHigh level of BTC - it would have been actually a  very bad deal.

With atm value (28thdec2023) of BTC 38.705,46 € 
The pack of 25 x 50 Euro bills (1250€) cost 500€, equals a gain of 250%,
BUT paid in BTC 0.898 you would have gained today 7741% if you just HODLed you BTC - LEGAL!
