The far reaching effects of Coronavirus, Covid, Chinese virus - whatever you like to call it can be felt worldwide.
In this author's opinion it is an excuse by governments to implement a form of martial law upon an unenlightened and panic stricken population.

In my home country of England (UK) we have bumbling politicians getting everything wrong... going against the science of it... we have been in and out of lockdown more times than the okiecokie but it is also happening on a worldwide scale.
Any resistance towards the draconian and tyrannical measures have been met with force by the useless police forces. Non mask wearing-anti lockdown protesters have been pepper sprayed by PC plum and his cohorts numerous times, elderly women tackled and cuffed with more and more reports emerging weekly which only incites more anger and disolusionment towards the establishment.

But aside from underhanded and unpublicised legislation to give the police more powers for abuse being written up, what effects is it having on people as a whole?
Economical
Thousands of businesses across the country have been left battling to survive as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
Some big-name companies slowly started to re-open as the country neared the end of its six-week lockdown (the first one), while non-essential businesses were forced to shut.
as pubs and restaurants up and down the UK – are still in the dark about when they can expect to re-open.
But large numbers of retailers were struggling even before lockdown began.
And now experts are warning that even more shops could disappear from the high street this year.
2020 has already seen more than 20 big-name brands slump into administration – putting more than 33,500 jobs and 1,100 stores at risk.

Even after lockdown, pubs (which have been proven to be better for people socially as they encourage interactions as opposed to supermarket chains cheap prices and drinking alone) are forced to implement strict refurbishment to be more in line with 'Government guidelines' and 'Social Distancing' and facing tough times getting customers to return to their venues and it seems to be only the beginning.

Hair salons, gyms, recreation venues are being ordered to shut and massively fined or the proprietors arrested for failing shut - even though they have spent money on social distancing measures after the first lockdown in an effort to be compliant such as capped membership, compulsory masks, limits on waiting in store, marked areas and protective screens.

Gyms/Exercise actually makes the body more resistant to illness - just saying.

Social
Children are directly affected by the pandemic and social distancing from preschool to teenagers.
Firstly the anxiety of the virus "what if me or my family get sick" coupled with lockdown and a restriction on seeing friends, schools shutdown, army in the streets performing testing it all breeds uncertainty and fear.
Younger kids have acutely twitchy antennae when it comes to reading the anxious mood of the older people around them. The ambient stress in a locked-down household in which parents are fretting, perhaps quarreling, and disinfecting everything that doesn’t move does not go unnoticed by children. In very young children, you might see more clinginess and kids are going to have a harder time sleeping. In children who have been potty-trained, you may see regression and accidents.
For schoolagers and teens, being with parents is all downside, and being with friends is everything. In the case of the pandemic, that essential socializing is out of the question.
Education
As more and more people are covering their faces in public, it becomes difficult to read facial expressions and see people smile (or frown). While this may not pose challenges for adults, young children look for emotional cues from caregivers to interpret novel or potentially threatening situations. Children rely on their caregiver’s facial expressions and tone of voice to regulate their response toward people and new situations. The development of this emotional communication is referred to as social referencing, and occurs between infancy and the early preschool years.

Universities and college campuses are places where students live and study in close proximity to each other. They are also buzzing cultural hubs where students are brought together from nations around the world.

Health (mental and physical)
Wearing a mask constantly is bad for your health. Denial of oxygen can cripple the immune system and prolonged use of a mask can cause hypoxia.
Researchers studying surgeons found that the longer a mask is worn, the greater the fall in oxygenated blood.
Exhaled breath is directed towards the eyes causing an uncomfortable feeling.
Inhaling carbon dioxide can cause breathing difficulties, rapid heart rate and emotional upset.
masks can be too tight or loose and they can cause sweating or even difficulty breathing.
This means anyone who is claustrophobic or maskaphobic will be unable to tolerate masks or face coverings. Maskaphobia [a fear of masks] is surprisingly common among children.
If there is one thing that’s certain about the impact of the pandemic on the young mind, it’s that it's not going anywhere soon. When you hear about COVID-19 again and again and again and again, all of that leads to a kind of emotional poisoning too.
War and recession
The pandemic could be the perfect catalyst for another world war with tensions higher than ever between a number of nations.
General Sir Nick Carter said Britain and the rest of the world would need to learn from history given the uncertainties caused by Covid-19. He said an escalation in regional tensions and errors of judgement could ultimately lead to widespread conflict. "I think we are living at a moment in time where the world is a very uncertain and anxious place and of course, the dynamic of global competition is a feature of our lives as well, and I think the real risk we have with quite a lot of the regional conflicts that are going on at the moment, is you could see escalation lead to miscalculation," (taken from an article on the express newspaper)

“We sense that ‘normal’ isn’t coming back, that we are being born into a new normal: a new kind of society, a new relationship to the earth, a new experience of being human.”
― Charles Eisenstein
“If all that we see are the scattered pieces of ‘what was,’ the story of ‘what is yet to be’ will never be told. If, however, we are able to envision the pieces as what they are now freed to be, the story of ‘what is yet to be’ will stand among the greatest ever told.”
― Craig D. Lounsbrough
We have a normal. As you move outside of your comfort zone, what was once the unknown and frightening becomes your new normal.
