Applying Philosophical Quotes to My Life (Jan 18)

"Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants" - Epictetus

Today I was about to buy another handgun. I thought about the opportunity cost. That $300 put into crypto could potentially be $1k this bull run. Then I started to think about other potential impulse buys. How am I going to mitigate those wants?

I came up with a solution - whenever I want to spend my money on eating out or whatever, I will spend that amount on crypto instead!

What weakness did I overcome?

Impulse. Why waste money instead of investing money?

What virtue did I acquire?

Directed my funds from a liability to an asset. One step at a time towards financial independence! I'll see you guys on the moon! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
