- This is an endangered dragonfly species, the Hine’s emerald, that can be found in USA and Canada.

- A toe tag is a piece of hard paper and string that is attached to the toe of a dead person. Nowadays, the toe tags are often replaced by a band on the ankle or wrist.
- Harald Gelhaus was a German U-boat commander in the second world war and he was credited with the sinking of 19 ships receiving him a medal for extreme battlefield bravery.
- This type of fungus is only found in Australia and New Zealand and is called Gliophorus chromolimoneus.

- This is the NMBS/SNCB Type 64, a steam locomotive that was first made for the German railways but as a form of war reparations after world war 1, it was delivered to Belgium. 168 locomotives of this type were delivered in total and they were withdrawn in 1967 ending the era of steam locomotive in Belgium.
