Quaint, flung around the window-pane,
It is it's flicker though - A beacon of hope.
Displaying dwelling's definite slant,
Squared off, announcing the beating warmth within -
Laughter penetrates space between the hinges.
In the thick of what goes unseen till year's end,
Illuminating color, the lights have been lit!
Welcome weary travelers,
Sanctuary is just ahead - Twinkle.
Last minute heave,
Shrubs speckled with love and care.
Like walking through the forest with stars springing through,
I'm taken to the skies in passing -
Their presence imprinted upon my stare.
Our human eye witnessing it's glow,
From how many miles I do not know.
For room there is no more,
Each inch covered, recognizing a loving occasion.
Since their inception we've come afar,
Candle Light, Fairy Light, Festival of Lights and more!
A bit of neighborly luster tucked into my heart,
From a house that is set aglow -
Our light shines a little brighter.
I choose to love, I choose to share,
And thank thee for the light that you have chosen to wear.
