Cybercriminals promise high returns investing in cryptocurrency to dupe people

By pcwork | onlinemoneymaking | 10 Jan 2023

There has been a massive increase in cybercrime in India in the last few years as more people are using smartphones and making online payment
In 2021, cryptocurrency prices were at an all-time high, and some early investors made huge profits which were extensively covered in the mainstream media
Cryptocurrency companies were also major advertisers in the newspapers and other media outlets
So now increasing cyber criminals are luring gullible people, promising high returns and then disappearing with their money
Like many fraudsters they are experts in manipulating people, exploiting their weak points
In some cases, the cybercriminals will pay the investors initially the amount they promised, so that the investors will trust them.
Only after a few weeks or months, the cybercriminals disappear and then the investors realize that they have been duped.
When investors lose a large amount they complain to the police, and often find that many others have been duped in a similar manner.
