There are a lot of things that don't make sense
Most people keep their lives on hold like living in the past tense
There are more people living their lives in pretence
And you have to doubt their words as they make a complete sentence
We have them in our politicians because they are of no substance
Their words are fickle and they can't even take a stance
Loyalty has been kicked to the curb, they have no balance
They are swift to go to where the mischief lies amid their dance
Nothing is as they seem to be and that's the way with humans
Humans are hard to deal with but humans that are politicians are worse
They come with the speed of light and with so much force
They have the strength you can liken to that of the horse
But only when they want to perpetrate evil on others
Nothing makes sense sometimes but it's life, we have to keep living it
We can't give up because others don't keep to their end of the bargain
Nothing is certain in life except death and taxes
Everyone gets dealt with, ask those beautiful trees as they receive the axes
Take it one step at a time as you journey through life
You don't have to see the whole staircase just take it one step at a time
You might not understand it now but eventually, you will...maybe not
But in everything, don't stop living life -
You only live once and if you do it right, once is enough
