When I was younger,
I would look up at the sky
And wonder when the future will come -
When I would finally be called an adult.
And the sun rises and set before my eyes
The twilight that amuses me, the fact that the sky can suddenly turn red
It fascinates my young mind
As spring comes and go
I see the things that were taller than me grow shorter And the ones I used to fear, grow friendlier.
Friends gradually left
No one cared to bid me goodbye
I grew lonelier by the day
Tears that always flowed freely
It wouldn't even stain my face
Even if I was in pain
My lifeboat gets tossed constantly too.
Tired, weary but determined
I will continue to follow this future of tomorrow
Hoping that it comes quickly
Still holding the torch of hope
Hoping we all get to our haven
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.
Still me,
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
