Once we were little children,
flooding the compounds with our loud chatters,
fighting over unnecessary things,
making undue arguments,
yet coming as a team to play,
help and support ourselves.
We were once children,
careless about our appearances,
our outfits, our looks and voices,
just living well and staying happy
without burdens.
Acting as adults, but neglecting
the responsibilities attached to adulthood.
We were once children, ignorant of
how we eat, drink and where we sleep;
All bills were on our parents,
so we've got to worry about nothing,
but to run errands and do few chores,
for they were the only way to prove our responsibility.
But we've grown so fast,
some on a foolish track, some on the path to surviving vast,
some faraway from home,
some dead, never to be seen again.
Whichever way it is,
twenty children can never live for twenty years.
Everyone grows to choose suitable paths and lifestyles,
some will meet at the top,
some will see others at the top,
but I advise you to be one of those,
that will meet with others at the top.
