Behold the moon of the night
Lavishing the glory of its light,
sparkling with all its might,
shining forth with great delight,
with its flawless white so bright,
smiling from the highest height,
easing my confusion and fright.
At its sight, I am assured that I am loved still.
Despite my lacks, lags and slacks,
My sins, shame and debt,
my weaknesses, restlessness and stress,
my worries, curiosity and anxiety.
My pasts, present and future,
the way all works together for my good,
the morals I have learnt for my betterment,
and the hopes I have for the best,
makes me more convinced that I am loved still.
The rays of the sun on my skin,
the warmth injects within,
the cool breeze, the calmness it blows,
the love it sheds, the peace that flows,
on my stressed soul,
clarity and aid it gives to my planned goals,
the comfort it gives like a bed of foams and roses,
gives me the understanding that I am loved still.
