You didn't just give me life

You showed me the way of life

You didn't just point the way

You walked every length with me

When I count my blessings, I count you twice

You are a wonderful mother, so nice

Considerate and always giving her best

You are indeed different from the rest

Forever in my heart, dear mama, I crest

I would say this all over with my full chest

So many challenges have come to test

Your strength shined through it all

If I could be half the woman that you are

I know that would be a remarkable feat

You taught me how to be better in all

It sunk in and I want to be so much more

Your life is a wonder to everyone around

What is life without a mother like you?

God was indeed mindful of me

Which is why He sent me to you
