Arsenal recorded a back to back win since the first opening week of the season when they beat Brighton 1-0, thanks to Lacazette's 65th-minute goal, assisted by Saka. The goal came just after 21 seconds of him being introduced as a substitute from the bench. He controlled brilliantly in the box before burning his effort expertly. It was deserving of a match-winning goal. That win alone moved Arsenal to 13th position on the Table.
The mood around Arsenal's camp would have improved by now with the back to back win, after winning against Chelsea. They needed the wins to end the year on a high and move up the table.
19th place West Bromwich Albion were hit by Leeds by 5-0 with Rafinha bagging a brace. Leeds had no mercy on Allardyce's men and this was the first time Allardyce would concede 5 goals in a Premier League match. Leeds were fantastic on the night.
Ben Mee gave Burnley the winner against Sheffield United and Sheffield United are now still rooted in 20th position. It would take a serious effort for them to move up as they are 11 points off the safe zone.
West Ham travelled to a tough zone when they took on Southampton. The 10th and 9th position respectively took on each other but it ended 0-0. West Ham would be happy with this result on the road as against when they felt aggrieved when they drew against Brighton.
