ACTIVITIES DURING THE QUARTER

After a period of preparation and recruitment by the new Chair, the Communications Arm held its initial meeting on February 22, 2023, with its three new members being:

*Small Axe/Don Karl, a multipotentialite, globetrotter, English and combat sports teacher, musician, and more. With a soul from the East and roots in the North, he provides a "just do it"approach to the tasks at hand, connecting the visions to the present. As the number of tasks increases, so does his efficiency, thus making him a highly productive multitasker and pen warrior.

*Arielle, an award-winning screenwriter, novelist, and experienced writer, brings her passion for "the living word" when translating complex technical topics into clear language that the layperson can understand. With English as her native tongue and a broad view of life, she eagerly digs into decentralizing technology to further the good vibes of Nexus.

*Tomas, as the name 'Gaia' indicates, is an Earth systems scientific philosophical poet, and one who takes a holistic visionary approach to the most elementary parts – connecting the present to the visions. With decades of lived experience in community and organizational building, he brings the essence of interconnectedness to whatever he touches. This is under the motto "Maximum freedom for the individual and maximizing freedom for the whole."

With open minds and warm hearts, we, the Nexus Communications Arm, are carefully treading the grounds to find our footing. We respond positively to being trusted in our common endeavor towards a trustless social DAO structure.

GUIDELINES

In order to facilitate our activities we are currently exploring and practicing the following guidelines:

General Guidelines:

1. If you believe you might have a good idea. Let it marinate and present it to the rest of us.

2. If an idea gets presented, do you best in exploring if and how the idea could come alive.

3. If an idea seems worthwhile to be implemented, do your best in supporting it to become the best version of itself.

Guidelines for article Writing & Publishing:

1. Get one other person in the Arm to support the suggested article outline/summary/bullet points.

2. Get the written article 'edited' by a second person in the arm.

3. Get 2 people to support the publishing of the article.

4. In regards to publishing/distribution, point 3 in 'General Guidelines' is used.

Summary:

There is a minimum of 2 'Initiators', 1 'Writer; 1 'Editor; and 3 'Publishers'.

OTHER ACTIVITIES DURING Q1

-Started and operated Nexus Communications' Twitter account - @nexusbility at https://twitter.com/nexusbility.

-Supported the Impressions Arm in the making and launching of the new Nexus website.

-Explored and established systems for internal communication, account management, sigchain, rewards, reporting, productivity, quality, and more. Additionally, there were quite a few administrative and technical issues to resolve. One example to mention is a 24-hour poll that ran on Telegram to explore a way of encouraging quality. Approximately 18 people voted in the poll, releasing about 15 NXS in a bonus.

”During this period, we have also aspired to have a positive influence on internal communication within Nexus, both between community members and Chairs. However, the results have been mixed”

-As always when starting something new, a considerable effort has been dedicated to practicing working together, with the belief that a healthy collaborative culture will benefit not only the arm but the entire Nexus community as well.
