The Brave team has released a new report on June 1 that indicates great progress all round for the privacy-focused browser. Crossing the 15 million active user mark, the browser has shown a 125% growth over the past 12 months. The report also covers the performance of Brave’s many advertising programs.
The number of campaigns that have been run so far stands at 1530, while in October 2019 it was reported to be 400. Brands that have used the Brave Ads program include Verizon, Newegg, Chipotle, PayPal/Honey, Amazon, Intel, Logitech and Lenovo.
The rise in the number of Brave Ads participants may be a result of the higher click-through rates (CTR) that the model offers. Compared to the industry average of 2%, Brave Ads offers a significantly larger CTR of 9% over a 90 day average.
The report also touts the influx of content creators, which number at nearly 700,000. Numerous well-known media outlets, like the Washington Post and the Guardian, are also registered Brave content publishers.
Brave’s growth and development has been consistently recognized over the past year, with a rapid increase in the user base and positive reviews from the tech industry. The project recently launched a in-browser video conferencing solution called “Brave Together”, just one of many features that have been released over the past few months.
Brave’s advertising model’s success has inspired others to follow a similar path, such as Italian porn-focused project PornVisory.
