Brave to add support for Solana
New to Brave Browser? Brave is built upon the open source foundation that is Google Chrome. Its the 3rd most downloaded Browser (passing Firefox) landing it behind Opera & Google Chrome in terms of downloads. The Brave privacy browser has a reward token known as BAT (Brave Attention Token) which is built upon Ethereum (ETH), run Brave and earn rewards for seeing advertisements (aka Ads).
Why partner with Solana? First, SOL is the fourth largest Crypto and it hit a new ATH over the weekend over $260, recall SOL was trading at $2 just 10 months ago (January). However, speed and transaction costs are the driving forces for the new partnership with Solana. Those that fear ETH Gwei fees know this all too well, SOL fees are paltry compared to ETH running about $0.001. Providing a more cost beneficial solution for Brave and end users! Win:Win
Other Solana benefits? Extensibility is another influencer from dAPPs and heavy integration into Browsers making it the killer app with great experiences built-in. Additionally, a Solana Wallet for Brave Browser will be made available to Brave users. WooHoo another Wallet option! Boo another Wallet option! Perhaps this wallet will allow me to consolidate crypto dust as its all over the place at this point.
