I recently was talking with a friend, who like me last year was a never crypto type.
I write that not to disparage him, but to write about my thoughts on his process, and how I came to be open to cryptocurrency.
The turning point for me from being a never crypto type to becoming a believer started with this thought. My thought was "I do not need to understand cryptocurrency for me to like it." My thoughts progressed to "there are a lot smarter people than me who invest in cryptocurrency" so "there must be something to it."
Once that thought process began to change from cryptocurrency is "monopoly money" in my mind to "there might be something to it" I began to read more and more about it. The more I read, the more I realized there is an opportunity here. I missed out on the .com era due to age and not thinking about my future. I don't want to miss out on this.
Another thought process I had was the market is currently down. This is the time to buy. Those factors led me to invest some into cryptocurrency. I found some I like and invested. I have continued to invest in this down market and hope to do well in the future. Now, I know realistically I am not going to be buying Shiba Inu in January 2021, what a dream that would have been. However, I believe realistically I can achieve a million dollar profit before I retire from the money I invested.
I was sharing this with a friend of mine. Who was like me a year ago, thinks cryptocurrency is not worth it and does not understand it. I shared some ways to get some small money into it and ways to supplement investing cryptocurrency such as P2E, drops, games, and the like. Even a free app where I have earned hundreds of dollars in my spare time in cryptocurrency. He turned it all down.
Maybe in the long run I am the one in the wrong here. Maybe I will lose all that I invested in cryptocurrency. Maybe the greater fool theory is in play. However, maybe I am onto something. Maybe it can help supplement my financial future.
Here's to finding out!
