Two decades ago, earlier than 2003, if you would have told anybody that the world will have digitalised currency, nobody will have believed you. Fiat was the only currency, they will have told you. But barely 14 years down the line, cryptocurrency has dominated the world and Decentralised Finance (DeFi) is the order of the day. Coupled with Web3.0 and the person who lived in that era will be flabbergasted.
We have made a gigantic leap towards digitalisation and we are headed to much more progress. Countries who were skeptic about cryptocurrency are slowly embracing the idea. As we move towards a new digital era, more and more coins are emerging in the digital space.
Maybe one of the earliest coins created in 2004, Ripple by Ryan Fugger in Vancouver as RipplePay, a means of moving money around the world. Ripple has developed into a cryptocurrency that is creating waves in market cap in DeFi. Currently Ripple holds position 6 in the market cap.
