The Torrente Crostolo is a river whose course is completely included in the Province of Reggio Emilia and it is a tributary of the Po River (the longest one in Italy).
Routes have been set up along many watercourses in northern Italy and the Crostolo is not an exception.

There is a very comfortable pathway that can be walked on foot, by bike, or even riding a horse...

... but I prefer not to remain so far from the water river ...

... and when it is possible I take alternative paths that can bring in the (or near) the river bed.

When I passed there the water was sufficiently transparent, even if the river bottom is a bit muddy.

It also was possible to see fishes swimming quickly in the not-so-deep water. Don't see them!?

Their colors were so light to be blend with the colors of the mud in the river bottom. If you look carefully, the yellow arrow point to one of the fish in the water.
