Our next stop on the map of Rhodes was Prasonisi, located in the south of the island, at the very bottom.

The day was unexceptional, windy and rainy, so we got in the car and drove to Prasonisi, 70 km from Faliraki. This is where the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean.

Of course, the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean don't literally meet at Prasonisi on Rhodes, as the Aegean Sea measures 320 x 649 km, but it's in Prasonisi that this connection is most visible.

They seem like ordinary bodies of sea water, but they differ significantly. On the left, we have the Aegean Sea, which is harsh, dark, cold, and with large waves. On the right, the Mediterranean Sea with its calm, warm, turquoise waters.

Niby zwykłe akweny wody morskie, ale znacznie się od siebie różniące. Z lewej strony mamy Morze Egejskie, które jest surowe, ciemne, zimne, z dużymi falami. Po prawej zaś Morze Śródziemne ze spokojną ciepła turkusową wodą.

The two seas are separated by a large sandbar ending in an islet, accessible on dry land during low tide. The view during the walk is incredible: on one side, the menacing Aegean Sea, and on the other, the enticing blue Mediterranean.

Oba morza dzieli duża łacha piasku zakończona wysepką, na którą można dojść suchą stopą w okresie odpływów. Widok podczas spaceru jest niesamowity, z jednej strony groźne morze Egejskie, z drugiej kuszące błękitem morze Śródziemne.

Both seas have something to offer tourists who enjoy water sports. The Aegean is rough, with large waves that beginners and surfing enthusiasts can take advantage of.

The calm but sometimes windy Mediterranean waters are ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing. During the holiday season, there are an incredible number of tourists with boards and sails. There's something for everyone.

Spokojny ale czasami wietrzny akwen morza śródziemnego jest idealnym miejscem dla ludzi uprawiających windsurfing lub kitesurfing. W sezonie urlopowym jest tam nieprawdopodobna ilość turystów z deskami i żaglami. Dla każdego coś dobrego.
