Today, a combination of Czech beer and Silesian cuisine, namely I took a look at the Czech beer Rohozec Trinacka and a traditional Silesian dish: roast pork neck, red cabbage and Silesian dumplings.

This dish is a classic Sunday dinner and appears at my house at least once a month, while the Rohozec 13 beer is a first for me.

Rohozec is a classic Lager with moderate bitterness and, due to its 6% alcohol content, it is classified as a strong beer in the Czech Republic.

It contains 13% extract, so you can feel the bitterness, but also a hint of malt, and it has a very pleasant hop aroma.
Besides hops, yeast, and malt, the ingredients also contain some chemical surprises that I don't approve of. These include hop extract, isoextract, and ascorbic acid.
These ingredients meant that, in my opinion, this beer was disqualified and only resembles, despite its good taste, a beer-based product.

The beer has a thick, white, high head that quickly dissipates. If you don't mind the ingredients, it's an acceptable product.

Unfortunately, the mass production of beers means that they are increasingly enriched with chemicals that are theoretically harmless, such as ascorbic acid, the popular vitamin C.

However, I'll go to the pharmacy for vitamin C when I have a cold. I don't want it in beer.

Enjoy your meal 😉
