
Ptychoverpa bohemica - Head shape bell-shaped, cylindrical (30-35 x 15-30mm) in color from light-brown, ocher-brown to dark-brown; with long, strongly wavy ribs. Only at the top is it adhered to the shaft.
The stem of young fruiting bodies is full; as it gets older, it becomes empty; reaches a height of 140 mm and a thickness of up to 30 mm; it has a white to ocher color with pronounced wisps on the surface.
The flesh is white, creamy, fairly fragile; with a pleasant, delicate fragrance.
Occurrence: grows in early spring (from the end of March to May), in damp places, on calcareous soils, most often in deciduous forests, near watercourses. The fruiting bodies can be singly or in groups.
