Gymnopus peronatus - Hat diameter 20 to 60 mm, chestnut-red, red-brown with yellowish to ocher shade, sometimes looking like silvery frosted or watery, irregular patches, hygrophanous, faded in a dry state, convex, then flat with a small umbo, sometimes concave; margin long bent and sometimes poorly scored.

Plaques yellow-brown to ocher-yellowish, broad, rare, often cross-connected veins, adnate to sinuate.

Stem ocher-brown to flesh-brownish, in the lower half characteristically bristly-hairy, cylindrical, slender.

Flesh whitish to yellow, hard, thin. The smell is pleasant, the taste is first mild, then sharp.

Occurrence: in coniferous and deciduous forests, among the needles and gambles, but not in tufts; very frequent. From July to November.

Value: Toxic mushroom.
