Choiromyces meandriformis - Mushroom diameter 30 to 120 mm, spherical, tuberous, potato-shaped. The surface layer without a distinct skin, smooth, can be cracked, often bitten by snails; gray-white, white-yellow-brown, clay-brown, sometimes with a pink shade.

Interior (soil) hard, bast. In off-white, with age brown-brown, flesh-brown, with a marbled pattern and white veining. Smell strong, aromatic, reminiscent of boiled corn.

Occurrence: Shallow underground, in various types of forests, especially under beech trees; more often in mountainous and mountainous regions. It grows in dispersal, sometimes nested; from July to October. Very rare in Poland.

Value: Edible fungus.
