
Amylocystis lapponica - Mushroom annual. In the shape of a semicircular, sometimes shell-shaped or unfolded, folded, sitting. Growing solitary or grown with others in tile focus. With dimensions of 7-70 x 20-200 x 12-25 mm.
Hat with an uneven surface, irregularly wavy with a bent surface. Fresh felt, bristly and rugged after drying. The color is initially whitish with a slight shade of pink, with age or when touched takes on the color of reddish-brown, later brownish-red, and after drying, reddish-gray. The shore is usually a bit darker, tepy, often wavy.
Tubes in length from 1 to 4 mm. Colors of the fruiting body.
Pores with a diameter of 0.25 to 1 mm (1-3 by 1 mm). Irregular, mostly angular, with age elongated, sometimes labyrinthine.
The pulp is up to 20 mm thick. Pale pink, under the upper side of the reddish hat. Freshly saturated with water, soft, meaty. When drying out, it becomes cork-muscular, horny, finally hard as a bone. Smell strong, pleasant, disappearing. Taste bitter.
Occurrence: In forests on strongly shaded, lying on the ground, rotting trunks of spruce, fir or pine coniferous trees.
