[PL] Ta historia zdarzyła się w niedzielne popołudnie w Parku Śląskim. Usiadłem na mojej ulubionej ławce, by podziwiać pięknie kwitnące róże, gdy nagle, z wielkim impetem spadł ptak. Pikował niczym kamikadze w betonowy słupek.

[EN] The impact was strong because there was a lot of noise that I heard even though I had headphones on.

[PL] Uderzenie było silne, bo rozległ się duży hałas, który usłyszałem, mimo że miałem na uszach słuchawki.

[EN] It turned out that the shipwrecked bird was the Jackdaw (Corvus monedula). A very popular bird in our park.

[PL] Okazało się, że rozbitkiem jest ptak o nazwie Kawka (Corvus monedula). Bardzo popularny ptak w naszym parku.

[EN] There was a moment of consternation, I was surprised, I suspected that the bird might be sick, or that its time is just running out and it's better not to move it. Jackdaws are long-lived and can live up to 40 years, this one did not seem to be advanced in age.

[PL] Nastąpiła chwila konsternacji, byłem zaskoczony, podejrzewałem, że ptak może być chory, lub po prostu jego czas się kończy i lepiej go nie ruszać. Kawki są długowieczne i potrafią żyć nawet 40 lat, ta nie wyglądała na zaawansowaną wiekowo.

[PL] Kawka była mocno oszołomiona, a ja lekko zdezorientowany. Podszedłem do ptaka bliżej, nie uciekał, nie próbował się bronić. przyglądał mi się spokojnie, ja również spokojnie go obserwowałem nie robiąc żadnych gwałtownych ruchów.

[EN] They noticed that the bird could not get up, and something happened to its legs - they were as if inert. About 10 minutes passed, then the bird dusted itself off, got to its feet and flew away.
