Verpa bohemica is a species of fungus from the family Morchellaceae. Widely known as early apricot (or early false apricot), it is one of several species unofficially called "false apricots". The mushroom has a light-brown or yellow thimble-shaped cap with a diameter of 2 to 4 cm and a length of 2 to 5 cm, which has a wrinkled and ribbed surface with cerebral ganglia.       V. bohemica is located in North America, Europe and Asia. Blooms in early spring, growing on the ground in the woods after snow, before there will appear the "real morels" (Morchell genus). Edible mushroom, very tasty.
