Geopyxis carbonaria - Fruiting fruit bowl, consisting of a cup and a stalk; bowl first spherical, then hemispherical, shallower and more open; 5-20 mm in diameter, smooth inside, hue of ochraceous, pale orange, red-brown, on the surface matte, lighter, whitish or ocher; slightly drenched edge, sometimes cracked with whitish teeth. Stem height 5 to 10 mm, thickness 1 to 2 mm. White or ochraceous, slightly recessed in the ground. Flesh fragile, waxy; without taste and smell. Occurrence In various places, most often in forests, but always on sumps, remnants of fires, charred wood; grows graciously; not too common. From spring to autumn. Value: Unaffected fungus.
