Łyska na sobotnim spacerze na specjalnej chyba ulubionej diecie

This bird appeared in my posts in early spring, when it showed its young chicks and the whole family moved the nearby pond. Today again about this beautiful bird, i.e. coot, but in completely different circumstances.

Ptaszek ten w moich postach pojawił się już wczesną wiosną, gdy pokazał swoje młode pisklęta a cała rodzinka przemieszczała pobliski staw. Dzisiaj ponownie o tym pięknym ptaku czyli o łysce, ale w zupełnie innych okolicznościach.

Nie sposób oprzeć się jej urokowi, i zawsze kiedy ją zobaczę, wyciągam jakikolwiek aparat, który aktualnie mam pod ręką.

Dzisiaj łyska postanowiła opuścić wodne rewiry, w poszukiwaniu pożywienia poza stawem. Patrząc na wyskubane miejsca w trawie, raczej robi to codziennie i nie tylko ona.

The moorhen leaves the water environment with it, as well as one more representative of rail flies, which I have not yet identified, because there are over 132 species of them.

Środowisko wodne opuszcza razem z nią kokoszka, oraz jeszcze jeden przedstawiciel chruścieli, którego na razie nie zidentyfikowałem, bo jest ich ponad 132 gatunki.

No less common denominator for these birds is food, which is within the pond, but not in the water. All these walking birds love dandelion and dandelion leaves.

Nie mniej wspólnym mianownikiem dla tych ptaków jest pożywienie, które znajduje się w obrębie stawu, ale nie w wodzie. Wszystkie te spacerujące ptaki uwielbiają bowiem liście mniszka lekarskiego i mlecza.

It also has healing properties, which is why it is consumed by people in various ways, as fresh salads or herbal teas. As you can see, nature has also equipped birds with senses that allow them to distinguish valuable plants from less valuable or poisonous ones.

Mniszek lekarski jest rośliną zawierającą wiele cennych składników między innymi witamin i soli mineralnych. Ma również właściwości lecznicze, dlatego spożywany jest przez ludzi na różne sposoby, jako świeże sałatki, czy ziołowe herbatki. Jak widać natura wyposażyła również ptaki w zmysły pozwalające odróżnić im wartościowe rośliny, od mniej wartościowych czy też trujących.

An interesting fact is that the birds living in and around the pond are completely unafraid of people. Around the pond there is a fairly intensively used bicycle route, along which cyclists rush, often like madmen, but the coots do not pay any attention to it. They walk around calmly, nibbling dandelion leaves and other plants.

Ciekawostką jest fakt, że ptaki żyjące w obrębie stawu i na nim, kompletnie nie boją się ludzi. Wokół stawu jest dość intensywnie użytkowana trasa rowerowa, po której pędzą rowerzyści, często jak szaleńcy, jednak łyski w ogóle na to nie zwracają uwagi. Chodzą sobie spokojnie, skubią listki mniszka i innych roślinek.
