Trametes versicolor (Turkeytail fungus)

A Few Images Collected From the Recent Thaw (North America)

By tych0_21 | MyMycoBlog | 8 Mar 2021

There are trace stands of old growth forest left near my home that I enjoy exploring. Unfortunately most forests in the region have been cleared over the last 150 years to make way for farmland, but some old-growth remains.

Recently we have had a quick freeze and thaw that has let many fungi have already begun to take advantage of. Attached are a few images from my most recent walk along with what I believe to be the species IDs.
