When I was 18, I was interested in art and drawing. My first drawing was Simba, the cub from The Lion King. I had bought some Lion King trading cards, and went to work drawing each scene.
I later made some bad choices and got involved with people and scenes that put me in the eyes of the law and out on the streets because I was unable to pay rent or even feed myself.
Now that I am sober and have vision, I see that my art may actually be something that I can live off of. I understand that NFTs are not just pieces of art, but unique tokens of proof that I own the digital copy of whatever the item is.
I may have drawn the piece, and turned it into a digital token for someone to own, but the unique token is theirs. I have no rights to that.
Some people dont understand these concepts and I have to admit, I didnt and for the most part still dont fully understand it. Some say that it is nonsense and the fad will go away, and others are cranking out NFTs like there is no tomorrow.
It is sad that no matter the reasoning behind it, NFTs are something that will be around forever, and still people want to fight it. Like with Bitcoin and other cryptos. If it is something we dont understand, then we mock it, and try to trash it.
Peter Schiff is the perfect example when it comes to Gold vs. Bitcoin. He argues that if the internet gets turned off, poof! There goes your wealth in Bitcoin. But it would take a ridiculous amount of effort to stop the internet. He does have a pont though to a certain extent.
The same goes with NFTs. They require an internet connection to view, trade, and sell. But the internet isnt going away any time soon. So that means Bitcoin, NFTs and yes, as much as I dont like it, Ethereum will be around as well. So just because MSM says that your Bitcoin is bad, and that NFTs are just memes, go ahead and make millions with them as they sit behind a camera wishing they were you...
