By XawPublish | My token portfolio | 2 Nov 2023

Welcome to the monthly review of my token portfolio, I started tracking this portfolio now 44 months ago in full transparency. I provide updates of the interests received, the services used and the transactions performed during the month. This post tracks what happened in October 2023.

Crypto interests

The portfolio earnings reached $3470this month, that's a 9% decrease from the previous month. The following tokens (including any kind of airdrops, mining, staking, interest rewards, browsing interest, Publish0x payments, and any kind of promo code or referee bonus) contributed to the earnings. They are ordered from the largest to the lowest contribution:

  • 28140 LIQ from Liquis as rewards to the tokens provided to the DCHF/USDC liquidity pool on Ethereum.
  • 36460 LIT from Liquis as rewards to the tokens provided to the DCHF/USDC liquidity pool on Ethereum.
  • 1096 CRV from Convex Finance, Lama Airforce and StakeDAO as reward for my contributions to the TricryptoLLAMA liquidity pools, CRV pounders interest, and locking CVX. I also received my brides from Votium as CRV.
  • 0.25 ETH from GMX as reward from staking my GMX tokens, from the ETH vault on Umami on Arbitrum and from the TricryptoLLAMA liquidity pools on StakeDAO.
  • 407 USDC from the following Beefy vaults: wUSDR/USDC on Base and USDR/USDT on Polygon.
  • 1686 VELO from Velodrome Finance as rewards to the tokens provided to the WETH/tBTC liquidity pool on Optimum.
  • 51.17 SDT from StakeDAO as rewards for my contributions to the TricryptoLLAMA liquidity pool.

  • 0.70 OSMO from Osmosis as staking rewards.

The following diagram depicts the evolution of the received monthly crypto interests:

Interest history

This month, the interest is 17.55% APR. The average on the last 12 month is still at around 21% APR.

Annual interest

Regarding the interest composition LIQ(35.4%), LIT(21.8%), CRV(15.1%), (13.4%) and USDC(11.8%) are the top contributors. The remaining sources are around 2.5%.

Interest composition

Transactions realized

Beginning of the month,

  • I claimed my VELO from Velodrome Finance and removed the liquidity from the tBTC/WETH liquidity pool on Optimum as the interest decreased a lot. I moved the tokens to Ethereum.
  • In addition, I removed my liquidity from the USDR/USDT liquidity poll on Polygon on Beefy as the interest decreased. I also moved the funds to Ethereum. This happened before the USDR depeg  ... I was kinda lucky.
  • I invested all these tokens into the StakeDAO TricryptoLLAMA vault.

Middle of the month,

  • I was a bit less lucky with the funds in wUSDR/USDC liquidity pool on Base on Beefy. I removed them after the depeg, I lost around $17K.
  • I moved the stable tokens back to Ethereum and put them into the FRAX/USDC liquidity pool on Liquis for around 20% APY.
  • I claimed my LIQ and LIT reward from Liquis and Timeless and converted everything into ETH.
  • I unlocked most of CVX tokens from Convex Finance, converted them all into ETH and zapped the funds into the frxETH/WETH liquidity pools on
  • Liquis for around 30% APY.

End of the month,

  • I removed the funds from the FRAX/USDC liquidity pool on Liquis as the APY dropped and moved all the funds into the StakeDAO TricryptoLLAMA vault for around 14% APY. I decided to increase my allocation to non-stable coins as BTC started its big pump.
  • I claimed my LIQ and LIT reward from Liquis and Timeless and the SDT, CRV and wstETH from StakeDAO and converted everything into ETH.
  • I removed the funds from the frxETH/WETH liquidity pool on Liquis as the APY dropped again and put everything into the
  • StakeDAO TricryptoLLAMA vault.

Evolution of the portfolio value

  • The portfolio finished the month with a gain of $1.6K which is +0.7%. It's a very lucky performance, I would probably have gained around $20K without the depeg.
  • The performances of the main components of the portfolio were all very good: WBTC(+26.8%), ETH(+6.5%), GMX(+11.6%), CVX(-5.92%), CRV(-3.57%).

Portfolio evolution

  • The stable coins allocation is now 52.5%. It is a mix DCHF, USDC, and crvUSD tokens.
  • I updated my portfolio allocation plan again this month, it is now the following:
    • keep the stable coin allocation between 60% and 40% of the portfolio and keep it high enough so that if the non-stable coins come back to their lowest price in the period, the value of the portfolio will still be higher than the value invested.
    • At the end of the month
      • if the stable coins allocation goes higher than the range, sell stable coins and buy non-stable coins to go back in the middle of the range
      • if the stable coins allocation goes lower than the range, sell non-stable coins and buy stable coins to go back in the middle of the range
    • For the non stable coins allocation
      • Keep at least 50% in ETH/WBTC
      • Rest in good coins, currently my good coins list is in this order WBTC/ETH/GMX/IMX/UMAMI. I removed CVX from the list this month based on its price actions, I might remove UMAMI next month.
      • Avoid staying invested very long in bad coins.
    • For the interest reinvestment strategy, I'll reinvest what is not auto-compounded in the "non-stable good coins" list if the stable coin allocation is higher than 50%, I'll reinvest them in stable coins otherwise.

Portfolio allocation

Here is the portfolio value compared to the value invested and the interest received.

Capital invested vs portfolio value

The portfolio performance is +3.9% this month,  the historical average is now +4.25%.

Porfolio performances

Things to look forward in November

If I'm fairly happy with the new allocation, it is simpler and should give better performances. I plan to simplify it further next month and review the list of non-stable coins I want to be invested for next year.
