Good morning my friends, for me kstaifi is one of the best dessert I ate in my life , if you have the opportunity you should try it asap ;) I will help you t create this step by step


Ingredients

500 gr. kadaifi leaf
300 gr. almonds white, finely chopped
1 tbsp. cinnamon
250 gr. sheep and goat butter (the one sold in the jar), melted

Syrup
600 gr. sugar
400 gr. water
50 gr. glucose

 

Preparation

Mix the almonds with the cinnamon. Cut half a handful of kadaifi, open it a little with your hands so that the fibers come off between them and put a little of the almond in the center. Wrap the kadaifi in a roll, folding the sides inwards to trap the filling. Transfer it to a round pan with a diameter of about 24 cm.

Continue making rolls and putting them next to each other in the pan glued. When the kadaifi is finished and the pan is full, pour the melted butter over the rolls and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 50-60 minutes. If necessary, bake more until golden brown. Just before removing from the oven, prepare the syrup.

Syrup
Boil the sugar, water and glucose for 3 minutes (from the boiling point). Once we take out the kadaifi, while it is hot we pour the hot syrup over it. This will make it crispier. Leave aside until the dessert cools down and the syrup is absorbed.
