Foodbook #533 sausage pie


Good morning my friends, something different and special for today, delicious sausage pie with a very easy recipe, let’s do this


2 sheets of puff pastry (1 pack of 850 gr.)
1 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
8 large sausages of your choice
1 egg + 1 tbsp. water beaten


In a small bowl, add the ketchup and mustard and mix well. Lay a sheet of puff pastry on a workbench and "open" it slightly with a rolling pin. With a brush, take the ketchup-mustard mixture and spread the leaf vertically in 4 equal parts, from a thick strip of mixture in each part (see in the video).
Place a sausage on top, which you also spread with the mustard ketchup mixture. Cut the sheet into four equal parts and spread them around the edges with a little water to make them stick. Wrap each sausage with the sheet, folding it inwards on its small side and then roll it to seal the sausage well (see in the video).
Repeat the same process with the second sheet and the remaining 4 sausages. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the 8 sausage pies on top with the end of the sheet facing down, at the base of the baking tray.
In a small bowl, beat the egg with the water and with a brush spread the surface of all the sausage pies. Bake them in a preheated oven at 190 degrees in the air for about 30 l or until well browned.
