Long gone are the days when you could stuff all your money into your wallet, or under your mattress. With the advent of cryptocurrency, we have to trust in intangible objects, coding, and algorithms to safeguard our assets. So here is my quick cybersecurity advice to you: Do Not Skimp on your Cybersecurity and your Crypto-accounts.

It's like that scene in Space Balls:

Dark Helmet: So the combination is one, two, three, four, five. That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! That's the kinda thing an idiot would have on his luggage!
Skroob: What's the combination?
Colonel Sandurz: One, two, three, four, five.
Skroob: One, two, three, four, five? That's amazing! I've got the same combination on my luggage!
Skroob: Prepare Spaceball 1 for immediate departure!
Colonel Sandurz: Yes sir.
Skroob: And change the combination on my luggage!

Don't be that guy that can't be bothered to change their password or passcodes from 1111, 0000, or 1qaz!QAZ. Or frankly any of the other super popular (and kinda lazy) password patterns. Don't use password, P@$$w0rd or any other variation. If you find coming up with a strong password to be too daunting, don't worry. Most browsers have you covered. 

Check out the password manager/generator in your browser. It can suggest obnoxiously difficult and safer passwords. Then, it will remember it for you! 

Additionally, activate multi-factor authentication. Don't just have them text your cell phone - numbers can be spoofed. But, use an authenticator app like Google authenticator or  Okta Verify.

Lastly, make sure you have your wallet and crypto account passcodes saved or printed somewhere safe. 

It would be a shame to earn a ton of crypto - and then never be able to cash out.
